Corrections policy
Advertising disclosure: This page contains no affiliate links.
We want every figure on Ferncharge to match its source. This page explains how we handle errors.
What we do when we find an error
We fix errors when we find them, including when a manufacturer changes its specs.
- We check the figure against the original source, such as the manufacturer's page, the official guidance or the regulator.
- If we got it wrong, we correct the page and update its last-checked date.
- We add a dated note to the page saying what changed. Corrections to facts someone might have relied on (a capacity, output, safety point or legal rule) are also listed in the log below.
Manufacturer changes
Manufacturers sometimes revise their specs. When that happens, we update our figures to match and note the date. If a maker's page no longer states a figure, we show "not stated by the manufacturer" rather than keep the old number.
